CryptoBest is a peer-to-peer cryptocurrency exchange. We are a marketplace where users can buy and sell cryptocurrencies to and from each other. Users, called traders, create advertisements with the price and the payment method they want to offer. You can browse our website for trade advertisements and search for a payment method you prefer. You will find traders buying and selling cryptocurrencies online for all online payment methods.
All online trades are protected by escrow. When a trade is started the amount of cryptocurrency for the trade is automatically reserved from the seller's CryptoBest Wallet. This means that if the seller runs away with your money and does not release your cryptos, CryptoBest’s support team can release the cryptos to you from escrow. If you're selling cryptos, never release the escrow before you know that you have received money from the buyer.
When the buyer or seller initiate a dispute, an admin steps into the trade chat and asks both parties for evidence and takes into account chat history and reputation to make as fair of a decision as possible.
Next to each advertisement on the website the price of cryptos for that advertisement is shown as currency per crypto. For example, if we are buying Monero with US dollars, the price would be shown as 250USD / XMR. This means that if you wanted to buy 1 Monero, it would cost 250 USD.
If you have your backup code, use a QR generating service to generate the QR from your backup code. Then scan generated QR with your mobile 2FA app. If you don't have your backup code, it means you have lost access to your account. Unfortunately, it is impossible for us to be able to differentiate between a hacker pretending to be you and you actually being you. There is no way for us to recover your account.
CryptoBest charges a 0% fee for the maker (the person who placed the offer listing) and 0% for the taker (the person responding to the offer). The reason for the significant discount on makers is because we want to encourage people to place offers.
We have two different types of trades on CryptoBest, local trades and online trades. Online trades occur online entirely through our trading platform without you ever meeting your trading partner. Most of trades on CryptoBest are online trades. Local trades are meant to be carried out face-to-face. Because of this it is not safe to pay the seller using an online payment method in a local trade. Online payment methods are, for example, bank transfers; PayPal; Gift card codes etc. Escrow is automatically enabled and funded for all trades, meaning that as a buyer you’re automatically protected by our escrow system.
If you purchase cryptocurrencies using CryptoBest, the cryptos will appear in your CryptoBest Wallet assigned for the specific cryptocurrency. From there, you can easily send your cryptos to other cryptocurrency addresses. To use your CryptoBest Wallet go to the wallet page, enter the receiving address, amount and confirm by entering your password. If you want to sell cryptos, you first need to transfer them to your CryptoBest Wallet.
In order to sell cryptos on CryptoBest, you'll first need to send some to your CryptoBest Wallet. To do that, you'll need a CryptoBest account. To find your CryptoBest receiving address you need to go to visit the wallet page. The top of the page is divided in three parts allowing you to both send, receive cryptos and view your transactions. On the 'Receive' tab you'll find your receiving address. Once you know your CryptoBest receiving address, you can go to your other crypto wallet and use this address to top up your CryptoBest wallet.
Transactions take between 10-60 minutes when you are sending cryptos to your CryptoBest Wallet or when you are sending them out from your CryptoBest Wallet. Transactions between CryptoBest Wallets are instantaneous.
The coin’s network might be experiencing congestion, in this case transactions will take much longer to go through. Once the transaction has been included in a block and has been mined, it has been confirmed once. When the confirmation count of the transaction reaches a certain threshold, the transaction appears in the receiving wallets.
The separate payment ID is an outdated concept in Monero architecture, and it decreases the privacy of the user as opposed to the newer integrated addresses, where the payment ID is compiled into the address itself. Unfortunately, it is still used by many big exchanges. CryptoBest does not use old-style payment IDs and instead provides the newer, more private integrated wallet address for deposits. If you want to deposit your funds from CryptoBest wallet to an exchange that uses legacy separate payment IDs, you can do so by first transferring your coins to your own Monero wallet, and then from the wallet to the exchange.
If you have already deposited funds to their wallet, you can open a ticket at the exchange and give them the Monero network transaction ID that you can find in the description of transaction on the wallet page, they should be able to credit you funds with that information. We would also recommend opening a ticket at the exchange, asking them to drop old-style separate payment IDs and keep up with Monero development.
Great customer satisfaction, on-time delivery and high quality service will earn a seller status and benefits. We evaluate our sellers’ performance and determine his or her level accordingly. Once a seller joins CryptoBest and lists an ad, he or she is automatically labeled as a New Seller. In order to start climbing up the level system, the seller is encouraged to work hard and play fair. Read more here
Feedback is an essential part of CryptoBest. It’s where buyers can rate their experience. Feedback ratings are made up of a five star rating system and made available to buyers after a trade is completed. Comments made while rating your experience will appear on the seller's page (under Reviews). Once given, feedback will be visible on a user's public profile if certain conditions are met. Users that have never completed trades can’t leave feedback.
Confirmed feedback is shown on a user's public profile and affects the user's feedback score. For a feedback to become confirmed, the total trade volume between the user giving and receiving feedback must be more than 1 XMR.
Web notifications allow you to receive pop-up notifications through your browser whenever you get a new notification on CryptoBest. If you're trading and want to know immediately when something happens, enable web notifications from your profile. Flip the switch that says Enable Web notifications and when your browser asks you for permission to show web notifications, press accept. You're now all set and will start receiving web notifications.
At the moment, we do not have a standalone mobile app. But you can receive mobile notifications in Telegram! This guide will take you through the Telegram notifications activation process (it's easy). Our bot will then send you notifications on your CryptoBest events.
Sometimes a trader may ask for your ID. If you are trading for the first time with a trader, he or she may ask for you to identify yourself. This is because in certain countries sellers are required by local laws to know who their customers are. Most sellers explain in the terms of the trade if they require ID verification or not. If you do not wish to give the seller your ID, you can always cancel the trade and search for a trader with less strict requirements.
The sellers usually release their cryptos as soon as they see your payment, which can sometimes take an hour or two. All online trades are protected by escrow and the seller cannot run away with your cryptos. If there are any issues with a trade and the seller does not release your cryptos, you can dispute the trade to have CryptoBest support resolve it. If you are buying or selling cryptos online, you can dispute the trade after you have marked the payment completed. A dispute can no longer be started if the cryptos have been released from escrow. When a trade you're involved in becomes disputed, you'll receive an email. A disputed trade is usually resolved within 24-48 hours.
We reserve a small amount of Monero from your wallet balance to pay the transaction fee to the coin’s network. Each transaction has to pay a small fee to the network to be confirmed no matter from where it is sent. We might reserve this fee in advance to prevent your wallet balance from becoming negative.
Transactions take between 10-60 minutes regardless of if you are sending cryptos to your CryptoBest Wallet or out from your CryptoBest Wallet to somewhere else. Transactions between CryptoBest Wallets are instantaneous and free of any charge.
After you send in a trade request to the seller, you have a time window to complete the payment before the seller is able to cancel the trade (the payment window varies depending on the payment method of the trade). During this time, you need to complete your payment and press the “I have paid button.” The seller is notified that you've made the payment and the cryptos will be held in escrow until the seller releases them to you upon receiving payment in his or her account. If you paid for the purchase, but did not mark the payment complete before the payment time window expired, please contact the seller. You can contact the seller and any other existing trade contact from the Dashboard in your CryptoBest User Profile. Send a message to the seller and kindly explain the situation and why you could not complete payment within the time window. If the seller does not respond to this request please contact CryptoBest’s support team using the Support request form and mention your trade ID.
Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible, once you have sent cryptos to the wrong address, it is not possible for you or CryptoBest to reverse it. The only the way to retrieve your ether is to contact the receiving party and ask for them to return them.
Advertisement prices are based on exchange rates. The exchange rate is volatile and may change rapidly. CryptoBest updates its exchange rates and advertisement prices every ten minutes. Prices shown in the listings and on the front page are cached, and update a little slower. Sometimes when a coin’s price is fluctuating rapidly, advertisements with the same price equation may display different price. Sometimes market data is not available for some currencies, which might lead to delays updating the advertisement prices. However, when you open up the advertisement page, the price will be more up to date. The price of the purchase is determined at the moment the buyer sends in the trade request.
When the price is floating, the purchased coin amount fluctuates with the exchange rate. The traded crypto’s amount is determined when the trade is closed, instead of when the trade is opened. This reduces market rate risks in local cash transactions where the time between opening the trade and closing the trade can be several days.
Transaction priority is a setting used to set your payment apart from other payments in the Monero network (if there is any competition). Low priority transactions may take a longer time to complete.
Transactions between CryptoBest users are instantaneous. Transactions you send from your CryptoBest wallet are sent with a high priority fee to ensure they confirm within approximately 30 minutes (within the next three blocks).
You probably paid a fee that was too low for the miners to accept. If this is the case, the transaction will eventually time out and the funds will be returned to your wallet in a few hours, or a miner may eventually confirm it. If it has been less than a few hours, it's best to wait it out.
